Sharing our passion of Vietnamese and homestyle dishes with the community.
As an immigrant without speaking English, our father found his first permanent job in the kitchen, and worked his way from a helper to head chef. During the 20+ years in the various well-known kitchens around San Francisco, he wanted to create a menu that brings more than typical Pho and Spring Rolls to the community, showcasing the vast flavors of Vietnamese cuisine. Bac Lieu Restaurant opened in June 2019, named after our hometown in Southern Vietnam, values fresh food, quality ingredients, and exceptional service. COVID-19 shutdown followed 9 months after, and we went from learning how to operate a restaurant to learning how to survive. Forever grateful to returning customers and neighbors in the community that kept us going through pandemic. With dishes from Vietnamese Crepe (Banh Xeo), Savory Mini Pancakes (Banh Khot), Bac Lieu Noodle Soup (Bun Mam), Garlic Noodle, Rice Combo Platters, to the more staples of Pho, Bun Rieu, and Bun Bo Hue, we are certain you’ll find something to try at Bac Lieu Restaurant.
